Tengku Djan's X-1R x Speed City KL Nissan RPS13 700SX

What's up guys. It's been a very long time since the last post. We got a special invite to check out Tengku Djan's new and improved Formula Drift competition car. His Nissan RPS13 "700SX"
The last time we heard about this car was prior to Formula Drift Indonesia 2012 when he finished swapping his old SR20DET motor with a Chevrolet LS7 V8. For those who don't know, the LS7 is a well known American V8 usually found in the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Camaro Z/28.

The LS7 has just received a new upgrade which is the Harrop Hurricane Individual Throttle Body intake. Aside from that, he also equipped the V8 with a custom Tonnka Exhaust system. Now the engine is currently outputting 600bhp and 700Nm of torque. That kind of power is not for the faint hearted.
The suspension and chassis work remains similar to 2012. Djan currently uses DG-5 coilovers and Driftworks suspension arms. Alongside that, the car is also equipped with a competition spec welded roll cage. Djan also maintains his tire set up with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 with 245/40R17 in the front and 265/35R18 in the rear.
Prior to Formula Drift Malaysia 2013, Djan is currently doing some final tweaking on the car's set up. After finishing third in last year's FD Malaysia and second overall, he is hungry for a victory for sure this time around. Well that's all from me for now. Be sure to come down to Speed City KL on the 31st Aug to 1st Sept for Formula Drift Malaysia 2013 to support your favourite team and driver. Peace!

Garage Life: Streets is Watching.

What's up guys.

Recently I had a chance to chill with a buddy of mines, Simon at his garage. After our first meeting at an event at the PLUS Speedway in USJ, he told me about his garage and his crew, Garage Life. The reason why the name is Garage Life is due to the extensive hours they spend at the garage.
It was a Saturday night so Simon called up myself and all his buddies. Turns out at the time, they were working on their member's Nissan Silvia S14 Zenki. The crew mostly drives S-Chassis ranging from RPS13 180SX to S15. But there are also other Nissan cars like Cefiros and Skylines. Not to mention an Evo-swapped Wira.

These guys mostly drift-tune their cars. Simon even makes custom made lower arms for Silvias by the name of Madrush. Seems legit on what kind of motorsport discipline they practice since they even took a couple of their rides out sideways on the streets.
After chilling for a couple of hours, the guys decided to head out to the mean streets of Puchong for a late night cruise. With the number of rides out on the highway, ya'll might think this was out in the Wangan route in Tokyo (or not). Well that's all from me. Until next time, yo!

M7 Japan Hypertune Honda CR-Z

What's up, guys. last month I had a chance to check out a project car that's currently being tuned from Hypertune Magazine, the M7 Japan Honda CR-Z. The CR-Z is the successor to the legendary Honda CR-X. The CR-X is known to be a very lightweight car due to its iconic glass roof and rear hatch.
This CR-Z is currently being tuned and loaded with parts from M7 Japan. At the moment, it is currently loaded with M7 Sport Suspension, M7 Titanium Exhaust, M7 Touch R.A.C.E, and a M7 brake kit.

On the day of the shooting, the CR-Z was sent to the garage to swap its old tires with Yokohama S-Drives. There are still a couple of parts that are waiting to be installed. For any more updates on this car, make sure ya'll get a copy of Hypertune Magazine. That's all from MC, peace!

Squeaky Clean: Nava's Nissan Silvia Spec R S15

What's up guys,  recently I had a chance to fully appreciate one of my friend's sweet ride. It all started out when a couple of our buddies was chilling at Canai Cafe in SS15 Subang. It was a Monday night, a very unlikely time to be hanging out, but it gave everyone a good mood. Knowing that everyone had to go back home early for work, me and a couple of buddies of mine Nava, Laknas, Izwaan and Jason decided to to shoot.
We headed out to a parking lot next to the Grand Dorsett to check the place out. After nice-talking with the security, he let us in. From the looks of this S15, you'd be fooled if Nava told you it was stock. Yet it's not. Silvia's are a usual option for anyone who's wanting a FR Turbo and S15s are no exception. The first Silvias were first made in the 1960s with the CSP311. It first held the S-chassis code with the 1975 Datsun 180SX S10. Then it led to later models like the S13, S14 and finally the S15. The S-Chassis has been sold around the world but the S15 is only available in the Asian and Australian market.
This variant, the Spec-R is a bit different then other Silvia models. It boasts extensive chassis  and suspension strengthening and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Despite the fact, this S15 is just for daily use only.

MOBFest June 2013 Hawaii

What's up guys! MOB Design Decals are back with a second edition of their biggest stance and fitment event, MOBFest, Malaysian Fitment Lifestyle. This time, the theme is Hawaii. So bring out your shorts, flip flops and shades on.
Happening at one of the best motorsport venues in Kuala Lumpur, Speed City KL. Things couldn't be better. While SCKL are having their Saturday Night Drift Assault, stance crews from all over Malaysia have came down to show off their rides to the public.
But this time there was a twist. At the end of the night, the participants were invited to limbo. Not with them selves, but with their rides. This can actually apply the phrase 'Go Low or Go Home'.
With events like this, the Stance culture will be more exposed to Malaysians. Despite the fact that some of these rides are just too low or whatever is just a minor set back. For MC, this is a platform for a car owner to really show his/her creativity and express themselves. Well that's all from me, peace!

Sunday Night Lights: Video shoot with Free Runner Syndicate

What's up guys, for anyone who just spent a whole race weekend at Super GT is most likely to be relaxing at home on that Sunday night. Not MC! That Sunday night, there was a plan made by MC and a buddy of his, Shafiq from the Free Runner Syndicate (FRS). Previously the last collaboration with MC and FRS was the all Mitsubishi Mirage shoot not too long ago.
It was first to be a photoshoot but turned into an experimental video shoot. At first we were all hiding out at the back roads to the cargo terminal in Sepang. At last, we decided "Eff this! Let's go to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) main terminal!". So with the crazy out of the box we had, we went filming at the terminal. Causing quite a stir of course. LOL
After a couple of rounds through the airport, we had a late supper in Cyberjaya. After all was said and done, I was back home and just completely dropped on my bed. Now here is the finished video. Like MC on Facebook and Vimeo. Enjoy, peace!
