Federal Tyres ProAM Drift Series Round 2

What's up guys. I hope ya'll had a great weeked. This week, Speed City KL just held their second round for the Federal Tyres ProAm Drift Series. This time, we had a new and more complex track layout.

The scorching heat that day didn't stop these drifters from coming. First off, they started with the qualifying round for both novice and open. The best qualifier for Novice Category was Zaidi Zainal in his Nissan A31 Cefiro with 72 points and Ariff Johanis with his Nissan S13 Silvia with 88 points for the Open Category.

  After the driver briefing, the tandem battles started that night. We witness a lot of hardcore door to door action. As night fell, it's clear the drifters are finally heating up. Never mind about how many 'one more times' were done but it made the battles tense and the drifters on their toes.                                                       

At last, there can only be one winner. The finals for the open category were between Mervyn Nakamura in his Mazda RX7 FD3S and Zai "Bullzai" Hamdan in his V8 Nissan S15 Silvia. After one more time battle, Mervyn had to pull out due to technical problems on his car.

Saturday Night Drift Assault 62.0

What's up guys, after coming back from a very long vacation. I came back to Speed City KL for my weekly coverage there. All started when good friend of mine, William Chin aka Emcee Will I Am called me to help with a little side project. Since now Youtube is trending with Harlem Shake videos, we decided to make our own. Besides me and the guys from SCKL, we also called the CEO of Farqer Clothing which happens to be the clothing sponsor for MC.

After wrapping up, SNDA started. Tonight was a bit chaotic since the number of drifters increased dramatically this week. Aside from that, a new track layout was done for the Federal Tyres Pro Am Drift Series round 2. This time the length is longer and some might require reverse entry. Damn, that's insane.

 This week, the car club that's invited consists of a JDM classic. EG Dolphin Malaysia made their apperence and they consists of, you guessed it, Honda Civic EG6s. All were clean, mean and loud. MOBFest 2013 February and Team Drift Battle 1.0

What's up, guys. Last weekend was one of the best. Out at my usual spot at Speed City KL, a sticker shop from Subang MOB.Design Decals held an event at SCKL called MOBFest. MOBFest is a gathering of USDM cars. Stance, Fitment, Hellaflush, Slammed, you name it, thaey got it. Very similar to Hellaflush, Wek Fest, and all the other stance gatherings in existence.

A lot of clubs and societies showed up for the occasion. Static 365, Negative Flush, BackWheel Bitches (BWB), and Team Street just to name a few. With that, we had an incredibly wide range of rides featured. From OEM style Kelisa to a very rare BMW E46 wagon to an old school Toyota Celica and even a Chevy 64 Impala. If you missed out, you missed out big time.

At the same time, SCKL held their weekly event Saturday Night Drift Assault. This week they held the Team Drift Battle where drifters will form teams and battle against other teams. Objective is to drift with the best team harmonization. But we'll get to that in a bit. The vibe of the MOBFest was so intense, that even Prince of Drift, Tengku Djan came to check out the stance himself. He was impressed by them rides.

For the Team Drift Battle, about 5 teams competed for the competition. All have one goal on their minds which is to take down last year's champions, Team Warhead. The strongest contender for the night was Team Corolla Perkasa which consists from 2 KE70 Corollas, a A31 Cefiro, and an R34 Skyline. They mowed down the competition taking them to the last battle against Team Warhead. After Team Battles and one more times, Team Warhead was still able to stay on top. Congrats to them all.
